A little about SBP...

What is South Bay Photography all about? One word...FUN!
I try and make any shoot I do fun. Whether it is a model
shoot, landscape shoot or just shooting candids, I try
and make it fun, relaxing and enjoyable. That is the
name of the game at SBP.

I started shooting photography in 2002.
It started one day at lunch with my friends as we discussed
putting a calendar together with all the vehicles we had
and pretty women we knew. All of a sudden I was
setting up the model shoots and handling the photography.
I seemed to be a natural at it. It's now a few years later
and I'm still going strong! Has to say something, eh?

South Bay Photography was founded in 2004, and
initially started out as MG Productions two years prior,
but after some changes and redesign, SBP was born.
I do perform shoots in a variety of locations,
so contact me with any location questions.

My adrenalin pumping hobbies include racing road race
motorcycles on the track, racing motocross (MX) and
drag racing cars. I am originally from the "Motor City"
(Detroit, Michigan) so I think all of these fall into place
with me. These are definitely passions of mine, as well
as the photography I do.

In 2006, I refined my sports shooting enough to
actually be accepted as a member of Sports Shooter.
This was a very important achievement for myself, as
the best of the best sports shooters, as well as
photo journalists are a member of that site. The
application process is long and brutal, but it is all
worth it if you make it in. So, I do have to say that
I am a proud member of Sports Shooter!

In 2009, I started shooting for Southcreek Global,
which is a mainstream media company. I'm very
happy to be working with them. I shoot a lot of
different types of events for them, but mainly I
shoot sports for them. They send the images out
to Sports Illustrated, ESPN the Magazine and many,
many other companies/magazines. I can definitely
say I'm proud to be part of their team!
